If you are interested in being an odour-evaluator:
This study has been designed to investigate if clothing advertised as being anti-odour or odour-controlling lives up to these claims.
To put these odour-control fabrics to the test, we are looking for participants who
- Are 18 years or older
- Are a non-smoker
- Are not pregnant
If this sounds like you, you might be eligible to participate!
Participation in the study will include:
- A screening test to determine sensitivity to smells
- If you pass the screening test and are invited to participate in the study, you will participate in two 1-hour training sessions
- Attend 12 assessment sessions (~20 mins each). Each session will involve rating 6 fabrics, a rest period, and rating another 6 fabrics
- To thank you for your time, you will be given a $100 grocery store gift card after the last assessment session
Contact Jennifer Beaudette at jbeaudet@ualberta.ca if you would like to participate or have further questions.
The plan of the study (Study ID: Pro00136063) has been reviewed for its adherence to ethical guidelines and approved by the Research Ethics Board at the University of Alberta.
